Il concerto serale di chiusura del Festival vuole presentare alcuni dei giovani musicisti che hanno frequentato le attività di Virtuoso & Belcanto affiancati ad alcuni dei Maestri che li hanno guidati nel corso delle due settimane di attività didattica e formativa. Il programma prevede quindi due brani che prevedono il coinvolgimento di 13 studenti e vuole regalare un momento di serenità in questi tempi difficili.
Si inizia con la versione per violoncello solista ed un’orchestra composta da otto violoncelli del magnifico concerto di Schumann per violoncello e orchestra. È un progetto proposto e realizzato dalla grande violoncellista serba Xenia Jankovic, appassionata didatta, ospite da diversi anni di Virtuoso & Belcanto. Si continua con i due pezzi per ottetto d’archi di Shostakovich, eseguito da Alissa Margulis, Paul Cortese e Sandro Meo ed alcuni brillanti giovani musicisti. L’esecuzione di questo brano giovanile del grande compositore russo, in un programma che vede successivamente la partecipazione del violinista ucraino Andrej Bielow, vuole testimoniare quanto la musica e l’arte in genere debba andare oltre alle tempeste umane, generando momenti di incontro e di confronto nel linguaggio universale della musica.
Chiude il concerto l’effervescente quartetto con pianoforte di Sir William Walton, importante compositore inglese, da lui composto in giovane età ed entrato di diritto nel grande repertorio di questa appassionante formazione cameristica. Il gruppo di musicisti che eseguono questo brano è composto dal direttore artistico e ideatore di Virtuoso & Belcanto, Riccardo Cecchetti, insieme a due dei suoi principali collaboratori e consulenti, Adrian Brendel, Paul Cortese, insieme al grande violinista ucraino Andrej Bielow.
The final evening concert of the Festival wants to present some of the young musicians who attended the activities of Virtuoso & Belcanto alongside some of the Masters who guided them during the two weeks of teaching and training. The program includes two pieces involving 13 students and wants to give a moment of serenity in these difficult times.
It begins with the solo cello version with an orchestra of eight cellos of the magnificent Schumann’s Concert for cello and orchestra. It is a project proposed and realized by the great Serbian cellist Xenia Jankovic, passionate teacher, guest artist for several years of Virtuoso & Belcanto. It continues with the two pieces for string octet by Shostakovich, performed by Alissa Margulis, Paul Cortese and Sandro Meo with some brilliant young musicians. The performance of this juvenile piece by the great Russian composer, in a program that subsequently sees the participation of the Ukrainian violinist Andrej Bielow, wants to testify how music and art in general must go beyond human storms, generating moments of engagement and confrontation in the universal language of music.
The concert ends with the effervescent piano quartet of Sir William Walton, an important English composer, composed at a young age and entered by right into the great repertoire of this exciting chamber formation. The ensemble of musicians performing this piece is made by the artistic director and creator of Virtuoso & Belcanto, Riccardo Cecchetti, together with two of his main collaborators and consultants, Adrian Brendel and Paul Cortese, together with the great Ukrainian violinist Andrej Bielow.
